Looking in to the carton we get our first look at the Antec 850 True Power
Quattro, the power supply itself is actually sandwiched in between two
pieces of Styrofoam so we had to lift the top-half off to expose the power
supply for the camera. The power supply has four sets of cable
permanently attached to it while the remainder of them are stowed in a
plastic bag at the top of the carton. If you look closely you can see
the power cord stashed carefully along the right-side of the carton.
The dual yellow stripes and oval shaped 850 remind me of the type of
painting found on old Sprint cars. Looking at the rear of the power
supply and we are presented with the standard male plug-in, a rocker
type On/Off switch and finally the 80mm exhaust fan with the flat black
painted wire fan grill which is handy for keeping your fingers out of the
fan when you decide it's time to move the case.
At the front of the Antec 850 True Power Quattro you ca see that
numerous holes have been stamped into the metal which will allow air to be
drawn from inside the case and expelled out the rear of the case via the
80mm low noise fan.
Looking at the plugs on the front the power supply you can see that there
are three black and 2 that are red. The two red one are specifically
for the PCI-e connections on the power supply, while the three black ones
are for the Molex and SATA connectors.
