The Antec 850 watt True Power Quattro will perhaps be the easiest power supply to pick out at your local computer emporium thanks to it's bright lemon yellow carton and super sized 850 printed on the carton.

There are three labels on the front of the shipping carton that are worth mentioning, the first is the "80 Plus" Certification.  If you don't  happen to know what this is let me explain it for you.

80 PLUS® is an innovative, electric utility-funded incentive program to integrate more energy-efficient power supplies into desktop computers and servers. The 80 PLUS performance specifications require power supplies in computers and servers to be 80% or greater energy efficient. This makes an 80 PLUS certified power supply at least 33% more efficient than current power supplies.

80 PLUS certified power supplies:

• Achieve energy savings, up to $70 (55 Euro) over the life of a desktop computer

• Reduce a room’s cooling load, increasing comfort and saving up to 30%

• Increase computer system reliability and save on maintenance costs by as much as 40%

• Minimize the need for noisy fans, creating a quieter environment

• Save on construction – saves hundreds of dollars in electrical system upgrades

• Allow more computers on the same branch circuit

• Save the environment – prevent pollution by reducing energy consumption

The second label is "Quiet Computing", this is achieved by the low-noise 80mm fan.

On the rear of the shipping carton you will find the True Power Quattro's features listed English, French and Spanish.  You will also find pictures of the available cables which are comprised of these cables. 1(20+4) pin, 1 EPS-12V, 1 ATX12V, 2 (6+2)PCI-E, 2 PCI-E, 8 SATA, 9 peripheral Molex, 2 Floppy.

The end-panel of the shipping carton uses a series of eight icons to display the main features of the 850 True Power Quattro's make-up and design.  These Icons represents such things  Universal input - which means there is no more little switch you have to worry about whether it is in the 115V or 220V position.  One tells you the power supply will work with a dual core processor - wow big surprise there.  The power supply does have active PFC which means that it operate in a far more effective means.  The rest you can pretty well figure out.
