The front of the carton that the Seasonic S12II is shipped in has a picture of the power supply so that you can immediately see that it has a large bottom mounted fan but does not come with a fan mounted at the rear of the case. It also lets you know that this power supply is rated at 500 watts, which is more than enough power to handle most systems on the market today. Also visible is the 80 Plus logo which mean that the power supply not only meets but also surpasses the stringent 80 PLUSŪ requirements. Finally we have the logo that informs us that the power supply is capable of handling multiple PCI-e video cards.

The rear of the carton is where you will come if you want the low-down on the S12II, here you see 14-icons listing all of the features we mentioned earlier in the review. You will also be able to see what the voltage rating is for each rail thanks to the Seasonic providing the information on the rear of the carton.

The end panel states that the S12II surpasses 80 PLUSŪ specifications and provides silent rock-solid performance. This series of power supply surpasses 80% energy efficiency at 20%, 50% and 100% of rated load with a true power factor of .99. The S12II also uses the newest and most advanced low resistance capacitors on the critical 12-volt rails of the power supply.
