Testing and Results

Here you can see the fan panel fully loaded with four 120mm fans from various makers, but all possessing about the same rate of speed and volume of air movement.  We found one way to make hooking up the fans slightly easier is to use a fan bus of some sort since it will have the extra long lead for attaching the fans with the panel fully open.

Since we talking about fans, one thing the CMStacker has that no other case that we know of has is the ability to accept a cross-flow fan which can take the place of the four 120mm fans.  Since don't have one to install we are unable at this time to test it's cooling capablities.

The the motherboard attached to the removable tray you can see even with a full ATX motherboard there is still a large amount of real estate on the motherboard tray that has not been used so far.

We have shown the motherboard and tray from a different angle just so you can see how much area the motherboard tray actually covers.

With everything installed we are ready to put the Cooler Master CMStacker 832 through its paces and see just how will it cools our processor.

To test just how well the Cooler master CMStacker 832 cools we ran a series of tests using various fan configurations to see what kind of results we would come up with.  Each of our test has a designator of Test 1, Test 2 and so on.  Here is a description of what fans were used for each phase of the tests.

Test Description

Test 1 All fans were used including top, front and rear
Test 2 Front and rear case fans only
Test 3 No fans

Conclusion

When someone says they love a case you have to figure out if they are in love with the cases looks, ease of use or in love with the status a certain brand of case may bring you. (at least in your own mind) When I say we loved the Cooler Master CMStacker 832 we are basing that on a number of reason.  The overall appearance of the case tells you from the start that this case is meant to holdup to years of usage. Secondly there are no sharp edges to worry about, that along with the removable motherboard tray makes setting this case up for operation wickedly fast.

Our affection grew when we found out the CMStacker came with wheels that will allow us to keep the case close at hand until we are done with it then we can simply slide it away.  The thing that sealed the deal was shear number of fans the case could handle and the massive amount of air these fans can move thereby providing a case that is cooled perfectly for the common word processor wizard or the enthusiast overclocker that wished to see how much power the system can generate.

If you want a case that can do it all, from ease of installation to cooling even the hottest processor, then invest a Cooler Master CMStacker 832 and then sit back and enjoy your new case.

A special thanks to Cooler Master
