A Closer Look

The front of the carton the AeroCool SiverWind ships in has a picture of the CPU cooler along with variable speed controller.  Located in the lower right corner you will find the AeroCool slogan, "Be Cool! Be AeroCool!

The colors of the shipping carton have a subliminal message to if you happen to be into those sorts of things.  If you look at the AeroCool logo in the upper left-hand corner you will notice that the logo colors are identical to the carton's color.

The side-panel of the carton has a breakdown of the SilverWind's features.  Mentioned are things such as high thermal activity, this is probably true do the aluminum mater used in the making of the of SilverWind. 

The heatpipes are attached to the heatsink in two separate ways, the first being the contact that is made with fins on the outside heatsink.  Then we have the pressure contact where the heatpipes are resting against the base of the heatsink.

The last bit of information that we will cover is the side-panel that supplies us with the Specifications of the SilverWind.  It starts off by telling us that the heatsink will fit Intel LGA 775 and AMD K8/AM2 sockets.  Next up are the dimensions of the heatpipes which are 6mm in diameter and it also mentions the aluminum extruded heatsink has 104 fins as we mentioned earlier.

Looking at the side of the SilverWind you can see the LGA 775 mounting bracket still attached to the heatsink.  If you look at the center of the extruded heatsink you can see that three fins have been removed from the heatsink.
