Introduction

AeroCool may not be the first name that comes to mind when you go out looking for a power supply, but I can honestly say that I have using two of their 620 watt ZeroDBA power supplies in two of my servers for over two years. These units have only been powered off for maintenance  and to vacuum out the dust and lint from the fans.

Having had such good luck with their previous power supplies I jumped at the chance when Alex from AeroCool let me know that their new HorsePower series of power supplies was available for review. For the record the HorsePower series of power supplies will come in various sizes, currently you have the choice of either the 750 watt or the 1020 watt size.  We will be using the larger of the two in our review today. So hang on to your volts and watts as we give this 1KW power supply a run for it's money.

The Packaging

AeroCool didn't spare any HorsePower when they were designing the shipping carton for their power supply. (Yuck Yuck - Poor Joke) So what do you get when you combine a Hemi block with header and 1020 watt power supply?  You end up with some pretty cool artwork to place the carton of your newest power supply.

The two symbols that are of interest to you would be the Nvidia SLI logo and the Plus 80 icon. For those of you that are not familiar with the Plus 80 symbol. So what is all this concern about the Plus 80 symbol?  Here is a brief description.
