Packaging

The In Win Matrix shipping carton does not have a great deal of writing on it other than the specifications for the which are printed on the rear of the carton, but what it does have is a some very nice photographs of the case. On the front of the case we have a persective view of the case and beside it we have some icons showing the important information about the case itself.

 Introduction

The In Win Matrix case is constructed primarily from a pearl colored plastic material that gives the case a very elegant appearance and thereby allows it to be placed either in office or home setting without looking out of place. The case also use magnetically latched doors to hide many of its features thus giving it a very clean and appealing appearance that almost everyone commented on when they first saw the case.

Also to add a bit of contrast to the case there is also a 3/8" black band that is visible on the front, back and bottom of the case. In the first photo you can that the side-panel has an area that is about 80mm square where In Win has place an opening that allows air to be drawn directly into the compartment that holds the heatsink. This opening also has a removable filter that can be removed and cleaned whenever you chose to do so. There is also a smaller opening at the bottom of the case that allows air into the area around the video card.

Moving to the rear of the case you can see that the Matrix has a door that covers this area, in the center of the door has a knockout panel sized about 1-1/2" x 3" that can be used to route speaker wire of network cable into the middle portion of the back panel. This door is held closed by small magnets just like the rest of the doors on the case are.

The opposite side of the case has not vents or doors to worry about, the only noticable thing present is the In Win logo. Moving to the front of the Matrix we open the door on the left upmost part of the case and we have a spot for the optical drive we will be installing into this system. This door as we mentioned earlier is held shut by small magnets.
