Looking at the front of the Sentinel Advance's packaging you have a large amount of information regarding this product presented to you on the front of the package. On the upper left-hand corner you can see that the product bears the CM Storm logo, if you are unfamiliar with the name, CM Storm is a division of CoolerMaster that specializes in high-end gaming products and accessories such as the Sentinel Advance.
On the upper-right hand side of the package you will find a bit of information that tells you that this mouse uses a "Twin Laser, Twin Tactical sensors for the 5600 DPI gaming mouse. It is also X and Y independent giving you maximum tracking and accuracy. The Sentinel Advance also has a programmable OLED Screen. You will also find that any setting you program will remain that way thanks to the 64K of memory the mouse has. The mouse also has eight programmable button and has a built-in weight system which allows you to set the mouse to your perfect weight. For the true gamer we have the True tactical mode which allow you to have maximum firepower.
The side-panel of the carton has numerous specification about this mouse that we found interesting. Such as 1000Hz polling and 1ms. response time with a maximum speed of 235" per second and a maximum acceleration of 50G's. The mouse also has a 1mm lift-off distance and to insure that it provides a perfect connection to you computer the USB connector is gold plated since gold has the lowest resistance of all metals.
Moving to the rear of the carton we find a list of the features pertaining to Sentinel Advance, things such as Superior Gaming Grade Precision – Thanks to the twin laser engines to ensure extreme stability and ultra precise tracking performance. Onboard Sentinel-X 64Kb which safeguards your mouse settings and store up to 5 different game profiles which is handy for switching from one game to the next. Octoshade™ LED Tech which enables you to quickly recognize your active profile, by personalizing your mouse lighting with a spectrum of colors and effects. OLED Profile Management which allows gamers to switch DPI and profiles on the fly with instant visual feedbacks. Tag Your Own Gaming Clan Logo This is one of my favorites which allows you to upload your own clan logo and display it in all its glory on the OLED profile management screen. If you prefer a lighter mouse than say you wife, the Weight Adjustment System with Five 4.5 gram metal weights allow you to select your ideal mouse weight with a 22.5 gram weight variation.
The last side-panel is just a small bit of information written about how the Sentinel Advance is designed for search and destroy missions, and we will be testing our mouse on the new Alien versus Predator 2 video game and see how it handles the acid spitting monsters.
