Packaging
The front panel of the carton has a nice picture of the front of the Cyber Snipna Silencer mouse. From this position you can clearly see the roller wheel and directly behind it are two buttons that allow you to change the "lift" and "Mode" of the mouse. The "lift" is the adjustment of how high the mouse is allowed to be lifted from it's work surface.
The Cyber Snipa Silencer Laser Gaming Mouse is packaged in a very clever and attractive box that is not only serves it purpose for shipping and protecting the mouse, but it also has a front flap that is held shut with two small pieces of Velcro that when pulled open gives you a look at the mouse itself along the replacement finger rest and the extra weights which can be added to the mouse making it heavier for those that desire a heavier mouse.
The rear of the carton has four iconic pictures which explain four features of the mouse system and they include the first one which tells you the Silencer has ten programmable buttons which can be configured into 5 profiles. Next we have the 6 -4.9 gram weights which allows you to configure your mouse for the perfect weight and balance.
Next up is the interchangeable side grips which is handy just in case you hand is not as large as someone else using the mouse,. The last item mentioned here is The DPI buttons allow you to choose from four preconfigured speeds that can be range from 500 DPI to 5000 DPI. The X and Y DPI setting can be adjusted independently.
A Closer Look A The Silencer
It is hard to see in this picture, but directly in front of the two side buttons are the lights that show you what DPI setting you are using on the mouse. Next we have the two programmable buttons and then finally at the bottom of the mouse we have the bottom that is used to set the DPI speed on the Silencer.
Here is the same side of the mouse taken under lower lighting conditions and you can now see that the tail of the mouse has a nice red accent light on it. You can also see the blue bars that indicated how fast the DPI setting are at. The DPI adjustment button is now a bit easier to see as well.
Looking from the back of the mouse you can see how it is sculpted to fit the thumb and allowing the fingers to rest comfortably along the right side of the mouse.
Here is a lowlight shot of the tail end of the mouse and you can once again see the tail light of the mouse.
This is the side of the mouse that allows you to be the judge of how you want it to be setup. Simply by pushing a button the finger rest of the mouse is popped out and the second finger rest can be replaced to see if it will fit better.
One other thing worth noting is the weight box that is mounted inside the mouse. Remember the six 4.9 gram weights we spoke about earlier? They can be placed inside the box until the mouse is the weight that you feel is comfortable. The weight box is the rectangular thing behind the finger rest and it is popped out by pushing in on the release.
From the front we have the roller wheel that moves in all four directions, and behind it the lift button and the mode button which we have covered already.
Once again we have the low light picture where you can see what we refer to as the marker lights at the front of the mouse.
The bottom of the Silencer is about the same as any other mouse except for the button that has to be opened to load the weights.
Conclusion
I have now been using the for about two weeks and prior to that I had been using A Razer Deathadder on one system and a Microsoft X6 which is a 2000 DPI mouse on the other system. Hands down the response of the Cyber Snipa Silencer is the most responsive of any of the other mice. As far as button placement goes the X6 and the Silencer are closest in design and I found the Silencer to be a bit more comfortable in part because of the finger rest located on the right-hand side of the mouse.
Overall the Cyber Snipa Silencer is a quality product that will do a great job for you whether you are using it for play such as gaming or as business mouse or just using the Internet. With a price tag resting around the $50.00 to $55.00 dollar range tou are getting a great product and we highly recommend this item.
