I can remember the first IBM AT computer I ever had, if you have been around computers for as long as I have you can remember these beasts like the one shown to rhe left. The specs were nothing to write home about with a processor speed of 4.33 MHz and whopping 64K of memory.
The thing that I think is really amazing is the size of the power supply that was used in these boat anchor computers. To this day I remember the rating on the power supply for no other reason that it was a question on one the first tests I had to take when I was learning about computers. The original power supply had 65.4 watts of power, now compare that to some the power supplies that people are using today that range from 400 to 1200 watts. The power supply we are going to be examining today is the Thermaltake Toughpower 1200 watt power supply, this particular power supply is a real workhorse when it comes to supplying all of the power you will ever need.
