We have taken five other heatsink and stacked them up to the Thermaltake TMG IA 1 just to see how well it would fare. It is clear to see that the Thermaltake heatsink won the test albeit not by much, but a win is still a win no matter what the degree of size of the victory.
Conclusion
I have to admit that when I first looked at the Thermaltake TMG IA 1 heatsink I was a bit leery as to how well it would perform, in a nutshell I was thinking along the lines of it being just another gimmicky heatsink that would perform on the average or perhaps not as well as the others tested with it.
After seeing the results of the tests I have to admit that I am a true believer in this heatsink. It does exactly what it is designed to do and that is cool the processor and look good while it is doing it. There are a number of things that we really liked about this device and the look of the unit is number one. number two has to be the adjustable speed fan which allows you to tailor the speed to the surrounding conditions or temperatures. Next we have the ease of installation, even a computer novice should feel confident installing this unit. Last but not least the $60.00 price point is right in line for a high quality world class heatsink.
